Muhammad returned with his Muslim companions to his homeland Mecca after a long journey of torment & suffering for all of them, this was after 8 years from his migration from Mecca to Al- Madina ( about 630 AD ) , the disbelievers of Mecca were asked by Muhammad PBUH about what they thought he would do to them , they told him

"اخ كريم و ابن اخ كريم "i.e that he is the generous....& it wasn't a surprise when Muhammad had announced ( by saying :اذهبوا فانتم الطلقاء ) that he forgave them & gave them the peace & nothing but the peace.

In that great day all the idols around Al-Kaaba were crushed ,they were 360 !

Hadrat Belal ibn Rabah, may Allah be pleased with him , was asked by the prophet Muhammad BPUH to stand up on the Kaaba & to call for the prayer (Al athan : Allah is the greatest , I believe that there is no God but Allah ,I believe that Muhammad is the massenger of Allah , come to the prayer., come to the good deed , Allah is the greatest , Allah is the greatest , there is no God but Allah ).

Many great things happened in that fantastic & glorious day & it's really very hard to mention all of them , but as a result of the tolerancy & wounderful morals of Islam represented by the prophet Muhammad PBUH & his companions people of Mecca all converted to Islam ,men, women ,young & old......Mecca becomes an Islamic city with all of what the word means.

They left Mecca & lived in Yathreb " Al- Madena ", where the first Islamic country was established.

Each religion has its founder or prophet. So does Islam. Islamic prophet is Muhammad. Muslims believe that he's God's last and the most important prophet or His messenger. He was born in 570 AD, April 20th, in Mecca. Muhammad's father died before his birth and his mother died when he was about six. Later he was raised by his grandfather and after his grandfather died, by his uncle, Abu Talib. Muhammad lived within a tribe called the Quraysh tribe. He was known for his hard work and honesty. Muhammad, himself, was a shepherd and a merchant. He worked for a widow named Khadijah, who later became impressed by Muhammad's trade and him as a person. Although Khadijah was 15 years older than Muhammad, they both married. Muhammad was very depressed by other people's greed and dishonesty, so he usually went to meditate in a cave called Hira, which was located in a mountain called Jabal un-Nar. One day, he had vision and he also heard the voice of the angel of revelation - Gabriel. It is believed by Muslims that angel Gabriel repeated three times recite, recite, recite, then finally Muhammad asked him what to recite. That's the moment when he firstly heard the Koran, because angel Gabriel answered Muhammad's question by revealing the Koran. This event is known as The Night Of Destiny. He went back home and consulted his friends and his wife and they became sure that God has chosen Muhammad to be His messenger. Khadijah and other relatives became the first believers of this faith and the first Muslims. The revelation continued for about 22~23 years. And each year Muhammad spent an entire month in the Hira cave, one of his daughters brought him food so he would not starve. That's how Muslims get Ramadan. Soon he started to have a lot of followers and the closest ones became his companions. Muhammad's uncle was the head of Mecca and punished Muslims for practising their faith, but Muhammad, himself, was never hurt physically. Soon Muslims were told to be thrown out in the desert empty-handed, without anything. The people of Medina heard that the Muslims needed a place to live, so welcomed Muslims into their country. In return Muhammad wanted them to covert to Islam, and they did. This movement from Mecca to Medina is known as the Hijra, also it is the start of Islamic calendar. Muhammad remained in Mecca until all of the Muslims were safely shifted to Medina. Muhammad's uncle was planning to murder his nephew, but Muhammad escaped to Medina ,secretly, at night. After some time, the Jewish people, in Mecca, became petrified about the new religion because it might change and worsen their lifestyle and routine, which they didn't want. So what the Jewish did is that they told the Meccans to sell or throw all of the properties of Muslims (Muslims were thrown out empty-handed), because they wanted the Muslims to be provoked and start a fight and at that time Muslims would have lost, but Muhammad was clever enough to thwart his people commencing a war. Later, after some time Muslims started to attack the commercial caravans from Mecca. In 624 AD, Muhammad, himself, as a general led his army to attack one of the Meccan tribes. Soon the Muslims became strong and three major wars took place. The first war - The Battle of Badr in AD 624. Although there were less Muslims, it turned out that Muslim army won this war. The second war took place at Uhud in AD 625 and is called the Battle of Uhud. This time Muslims lost because they didn't obey their leader, Muhammad and the Meccan army leader took advantage of this & with his cleverness won this war. The third war is called The Battle of Trench, which took place in AD 627. The reason it is called like that is this: Meccans came to attack the Muslims in Medina, but the Muslims dug a trench around their city and the Meccans could not enter it in any way. After some time the Meccan army retreated and the Muslims were considered to be victorious. Later there was a truce made between Muslims and Meccan that until 10 more years they wouldn't fight and Muhammad agreed to it. After three years of making this contract, some Meccans came and killed some Muslims in Mecca, but Muhammad in these three years went around with his followers and almost all of the Arabia was converted to Islam. So Muhammad was getting his army ready for fight, but Abu Sufyan, the Meccan leader, came, apologised and also converted to Islam. The next day, when Muslims reached Mecca, everyone went into their houses and closed the doors, because the Meccans were afraid that they would be killed. But instead Muslims headed to Kaaba - a cube-looking structure, believed to be built by Adam, it was a pilgrimage cite even before Islam was found and people worshipped the idols which were located at the Kaaba. At Kaaba Muhammad ordered to remove or destroy all of the idols and icons, because Muhammad had a reason, which would be discussed later. A former etopian slave, named Bilal, announced that everyone was safe and also called for a prayer, somewhat as Muezzins do. And the entire Mecca converted to Islam - this was Muhammad's greatest victory that he was able to convert almost the entire Arabia to Islam. On June 8th Muhammad became very sick and passed away in arms of his favourite wife - Aisha. By the way, Muhammad had 12 wives and 9 of them were alive at his death. Although Islam says that you can only have 4 wives, Muhammad had more. That's because he married more women because of social reasons such as divorce or widows, to actually support these women. And at that time the section of Koran about having no more than 4 wives wasn't revealed to him and when it was he ceased marrying. Also, whenever his name is thought or said, it is followed by "Peace be upon him". Now, the minor difference between Christian thinking of prophets and the Muslim one - Muslims do believe in prophets such as Moses, Noah, or Jesus but they don't consider them divine. That's why if you say Muhammadism instead of Islam, Muslims would get offended, because Muslims don't consider Muhammad divine or god-like and in Christianity, Christians do consider their prophet, Jesus Christ, one of the aspects of God, so that's why their religion is called Christianity (Christ).
