The final book has not been released (as of 8/21/09) therefore, very few people would know this.
In the ending of "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini, Eragon leaves AlagaΓ«sia with the dragon Saphira and the elf Arya in search of a new land for the dragons to live freely. Eragon also leaves behind his friends and family, including his cousin Roran, after defeating the evil king Galbatorix.
It doesn't specifically say, but somewhere beyond the lands of Alagaesia probably to find new countries/land.

Beacause it entitles how Murtagh is claiming his Inheiritance from his father by taking Zar'roc back from Eragon and Eragon taking his Inheiritance by taking Brom's ring which is rightfully his because Brom is his father. (sorry if I ruined the ending)
