Yes Piggy does die in the Lord of the Flies. He dies in a very tragic way. After everyone abandoned Ralph and Piggy they joined Jack's tribe. On a visit to Jack's tribe, Piggy is trying to get everyone's attention and he is yelling that he has the conch and he is the only one who should be talking. Roger, who is truly evil, pushes a boulder over the top of Castle Rock and it falls and crushes Piggy and the conch in his hand shatters into a million pieces. After Piggy's death, madness breaks out on the island and the hunt for Ralph is on. :)

In "Lord of the Flies," Piggy is killed when Roger, a member of the group, pushes a large boulder off a cliff, hitting Piggy and causing him to fall to his death. Piggy's death marks a turning point in the novel, as it demonstrates the complete breakdown of civilization and morality on the island.

Roger leans on a lever that makes a big rock fall from on top of the cave that Jack's tribe is living in. This rock collides with Piggy, making him fly backwards forty feet in the air. This breaks his head open.

He is killed in chapter 11 where Roger rolls a rock of the cliff hitting piggy sending him sideways from the rock , turning over as he went. Piggy fell 40 feet and landed on his back across the square red rock in the sea. his head opened and stuff came out and turned red. Piggy's arms and legs twitched a bit, like a pig's after it has been killed. Then the sea breathed again a in a long, slow sigh, the water boiled white and pink over the rock; and when it went, sucking back again, the body of Piggy was gone.

Does jack die in Lord of the Flies?

No. Ralph nearly dies, Piggy dies and Simon dies. It is implied that Ralph murders two boys in his struggle of self defense. Is it also suggested that the boy with the mulberry birthmark dies in the fire early on in the book.

Who was the first boy to die in Lord of the Flies?

The first boy to die in Lord of the Flies is known only as "the boy with the mulberry birth mark". He is the one who complains about a "beastie" and after the fire he is never seen again. Simon is killed next during the "dance", and finally Piggy. Though at the end of the book Ralph says only two have died, there were actually three casualties.

Who dies in lord of the flies-?

Simon was beaten to death when he was mistaken for the 'beast.' Piggy was killed when he was knocked from the causeway by a boulder and the littlun with the mulberry coloured birthmark on his face disappeared after the first fire got out of control, presumably killed by the fire or by smoke. Ralph also stabbed at least two of Jack's hunters with his spear so they may also have been killed or badly injured.

How is piggy useless in the Lord of the Flies?

Piggy is not useless in "Lord of the Flies" as he provides critical intelligence, rational thinking, and a voice of reason amongst the group of boys. Despite being physically weak and often dismissed by the other boys, Piggy's intellectual abilities and moral compass are essential for the survival and cohesion of the group. His glasses are also a crucial asset for starting fires on the island.
