Britain was the first site of the industrial revolution. Britain became the workshop of the world through the Enclosure movement, Textiles, Better Transportation, canals, railroads, ect. Many other factors contributed to Britain success.
Innovations from America were brought to England and transformed from conceptual ideas into fully fledged inventions. The Industrial Revolution started in England. It had everything neccessary, work force, natural ressources, stable government and colonial assets to pool investments in and fuel the growing marketplace.
