The banana in the refrigerator browned faster than the banana on the counter. The cold temperature makes a banana's skin brown faster. The banana in the refrigerator is still firm though, where as the banana on the counter is softer.
Bananas will ripen faster in a paper bag since the ripening gases they release stay near the fruit longer. For normal storage, on the counter or fruit bowl is probably best. Bananas, like tomatoes, should never be stored in the refrigerator. Refrigeration does not really harm either fruit, but rather than ripen further, they shrivel up and turn to mush inside.
The warmer the temperature, the sooner bananas will ripen and get darker in color. Thus, refrigerated bananas will darken much more slowly. Bananas left outside will begin to turn brown within a few days.
in the fridge.
== == no, cold temp make the banana peel brown faster
It is definitely the refrigerator
Bananas 'brown' faster in the fridge, but the cold actually slows down the ripening process and makes them last longer. The brown peel does not affect the flavor of the banana.
Dole says that they brown faster in the refrigerator but they stay solid and fresh on the inside. Some people ripen their bananas outside the frig. and then place them in the refrigerator.
Bananas will turn browner first when its in the frigerator
counter - just believe me

A refrigerator, a counter, and two bananas (preferably from the same cluster).
two bananas, a counter, a fridge, and some time.
It does not matter what brand. Bananas turn brown faster in the refrigerator.
it turns brown in the refrigarator
in the refrigerator
on the counter
If you mean a cut open fruit, no. Both are slowed with application of lemon juice.
Take two bananas on the same stem, separate them and place one in the refrigerator and the other on the counter to see which will brown faster.
Cold causes the warm climate fruits cells to break down faster.

I did an experiment on this and the banana in the refrigerator was like black after 6 days and the one on the counter was slightly affected so definitely the fridge. =========================== It rots faster on the counter because room temperature supports bacteria better in order to break down the banana faster(rotting)
because the refrigerator keeps it fresh and at one temperature. the counter changes temperature. Acetylene gas in the confinement of refrigerator hastens the browning process in banana.
