Scientists say there was no Tree of Life nor a Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They say that the world is far older than the biblical story allows and that there is no evidence that there ever was a Garden of Eden on earth. Beyond this, most scientists do not become involved in questions of faith.
It is believed that the Garden of Eden was destroyed by the Great Flood . As it rained for forty days and forty nights , the movement of the rain water on the Earth destroyed the trees ; also causing changes in the formation of the earth surface . This may explains why the exact location , as well as the other two rivers out of the four , cannot be found .
