Somewhere on your engine will be a cap that says Transmission Fluid on it. Remove the cap and there should be a tube under it you can pour the fluid in. Check your dipstick (if you have one) to check the level of the fluid in the engine. Also check with your owner's manual to see how much fluid your transmission holds.

Manual transmissions don't use "transmission fluid", instead they use a Hypoid Gear Oil - usually 90 weight. The very short stick is sometimes labeled and sometimes not, but usually located near the transaxle in front wheel drive.

manual transmission don't use dipsticks, most likely have to fill it at the transmission you will see two plugs one is the drain plug the other is the check/fill plug more toward the top to center of the transmission.
99 mustangs use automatic transmission fluid in the manual transmissions and you have to use a tool that pushes the fluid up into the fill hole of the transmission as nothing else fits, u fill it with fluid and then use air pressure to push it up BE CAREFUL there are some manual transmissions that do use automatic transmission fluid check the specs before you do anything like that
