Can you catch Giratina in Pokemon black?

You must get the national pokedex, then fly to Veilstone City. Stay on the right side, and go downward into Spring Path. Follow the trail, and then you will end up at Sendoff Springs. Go to the far end of the lake you will see if you go upward, and then use Rock Climb to get down into Turnback Cave. Then use Defog to clear up the fog. You can go in any of the entrances. If you get lucky, then you will end up in Giratina's room! But don't go in 30 different pathways. Then you will get sent out. You will need fly, Rock Climb, and defog.

For Platinum, you could catch it after you fight Cyrus for the last time in distortion world. If you accidentally kill it, then you could catch Giratina in its other form after you beat the elite4 and go to spring path (enter the turn back cave).

If you want to get Giratina's orb you go to turn back cave after you beat elite4 and enter this portal to the distortion world. Go back to where Giratina was and there will be a pokeball and inside there will be Giratina orb. Let Giratina hold it and it will change its form.

Yes, by having the National Dex. Then, go to Route 214 in the Spring Path and the Sendoff Spring located at the lower right. You must have a Pokemon with Rock Climb, Rock Smash & Strength.... Go to the instructions at the middle pillar, and follow it, and you'll find Giratina. PLEASE NOTE: Giritina level 70 so take something powerful/high level!

If you're playing Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, then Giratina lies in the deepest part of Turnback Cave, an area accessible after beating the Elite Four. Turnback Cave is at Sendoff Spring, right off Route 214.

For Platinum, it's different. During the main storyline, you go into this place called the Distortion World, a world where time doesn't flow and space isn't stable. At the very end of it, Giratina is waiting for you, as it's enraged because its world has been disturbed. Also, you can go where Giratina was in Diamond and Pearl to find a portal leading to another part of the Distortion World, where you can find the Griseous Orb. As long as Giratina is holding the Griseous Orb, it will always be in its Origin Forme.

well first off, there are 3 giratina's. 1 is the normal one where you can catch in the dark/graveyard maps (2011). it is really hard to find. RARELY shows up in other maps. the other 2 giritina (origin and sky) are only bought for 1 billion Pokemon vortex money. home it helps.

Probably i caught it with an ultra ball but i did catch diagla and palkia with a poke ball so it will probably work on giratina too but make sure you pack alot it might take 10 11 12 or 13 of em. but weaken and make sure its in the red zone before you use poke balls im 100# sure u can i did on diagla and palkia so yeah pretty sure

Nope you have to transfer that from Pokemon diamond, pearl, or platinum. (if you traded it to heart gold or soul silver never fear, you can transfer it from there too.) You may also be able to get one from the GTS if you have the internet access and USB cable with which to do so. good luck fellow poke-fan!
