You read the trouble codes on the dsahboard "engine check" light. To get the codes out you connect two black, single wire connectors under the dash near the steering column while the ignition is turned off, then turn the key on and the light should flash a code. More information can be found at... http://www.troublecodes.net/Subaru/ .

I just purchased new catalytic converters for my 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback. There are three ports for oxygen sensors. They appear to be on the top of the converters. The Subaru Leone was also known of as the L-series, the Subaru 1800 and the Subaru Sedan depending on the particular market. The specific models used in the initial rally entries were the Leone coupe, the DL sedan and the RX Turbo sedan with the Leone coupe being the first car used.

I have a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT (Wagon) and haven't been able to find a hitch. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? If I am able to find a hitch, I would then try to get the Outback trailer hitch wiring harness from my Subaru dealer. I would expect the wiring in the two cars to be the same, but I suppose they could be different. I noticed the Legacy wagons don't have the rear 12 volt jack that the Outbacks have. This is something I'd like to add too for one of those electric coolers. That would be nifty I think. Thanks . . .

Very, very, very hard. You need all of the necessary tools to remove the steering knuckle and the right size press to press out the old bearing and install the new one.
