no there is no reset switch under the hood of a 1990 f150 the only reset switch is the inertia switch for the fuel pump located under drivers side dash against firewall black box with red button

I am not completely sure what you are asking, but I think you may be asking about a reset button for the check engine light(CEL)? The fact is, there is no such thing. There is a fuel reset button,called an inertia switch, that is to shut off the fuel pump if you are in a wreck. On an F150, it should be behind the right hand front kick panel, and on a windstar, it should be in the right hand rear cargo area. If the "reset" butttons were tripped then the vehicles would not run, because the fuel pump would not be operating. If the only symptom you have is a CEL, then you need to have a scanner hooked up to find out what's wrong.
