The normal human kidney has about a million nephrons, but that number can vary widely. There has been research that shows a relationship between having significantly fewer nephrons and having hypertension.

The renal corpuscle consists of a glomerulus and the Bowman's capsule. It is the nephron's initial filtering component. The components of the renal tubule are the proximal convoluted tubule, loop of Henle and the distal convoluted tubule.
A Nephron is the basic structural and functional unit of the kidney. It's not a molecule, more likely a small portion of the kidney that helps the kidney work.
