How do you catch an Abra on Pokemon FireRed?

Since it teleports away right after you attack it, just throw an ultra pokeball at it and you've caught it. Or at the GoldenRod City games place (where you play games to earn coins to unlock prizes/Pokemon) you can play the game and earn enough coins to exchange them for an Abra (which evolves into kadabra after two levels after exchange). I caught one that was a level 9 by just throwing a great ball at it.

you can catch it in celean city or you can get it in the game corner for 180 coins

Just keep throwing regular poke balls. It takes time but you'll eventually get one.

Abra's always flee. So your best bet is to use a pokeball with a higher catch rate than an ordinary pokeball.

Or, you can just get one from the casino.

You can find abras on routes 24 and 25, and you can buy it at the game corner.

Just get a Pokemon that has a sleep attack. I used a Butterfree and used it's sleep powder attack to put Abra to sleep. Then just lower it's health and catch it. I caught mine with a regular Pokeball.

Original:To catch an Abra you must have a luxury ball. When you face one, don't atack it, use the luxury ball AT ONCE and you've caught it! To get a luxury ball go to the Pokemon mansion. Where I found my Abra, was in Cerulean City up North. Go up the Golden Bridge with all the trainers, then go left to all the grass on the other side of the River. You might find an Abra in there. Or, you can go north east to the very small patch of grass and that's where I found my Abra.

actually, there is an EASIER, FASTER way. if you have a wireless communication system for the GameBoy Advance, you can go into the direct corner and trade an Abra for something else. You can do this early in the game, so you can have an Abra earlier

All you need is 4000 dollars

1. Go to CELADON CITY (easy if you get fly)

2. find the Rocket Game Corner (the playground for grown-ups!). walk downwards where there are a lot of houses lined up go in the one that looks like a restaurant/bar, go to the old man that's sitting at the table in the top left of the restaurant/bar. he will give you a "Coin Case".

3. go back to the Rocket Game Corner (the playground for grown-ups!). and go in. you will see a whole bunch of slots, go to the top left and you will see a counter with 2 people behind it. talk to the one on the right and buy click 50 coins 4 times so you spend 4000 Money.

4. Leave the Rocket Game Corner (the playground for grown-ups. and go to the house next to it, it has 2 bushes next to the doors, go in and go to the counter and talk to the middle one. there you can buy an Abra and some other Pokemon with 180 coins and you have 20 coins left to gamble.

5. Be happy with what I explained, i tried to be detailed (I described it as i was playing the game and doing exactly what i did) DO NOT SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY ON IT, I did cause I'm a gambler and lost it all, DON'T BE LIKE ME!!!!!

Its simple go to a route that has an Abra percentage and then try your best to catch it

look in your pokedex if u caught a male or seen one go to one of the glowey spots and keep on looking. to catch one use a great ball and right when it opens press down and b at the same time and say gotcha simply don't press anything else and if it doesn't work try try again.
