the little six pin blue connecter under the left side of the dash
1992 sunbird is obd1,1996 firebird is obd2.Will not work.
The ECM on a 1992 S10 Blazer is located below the glove box.
The OBD2 diagnostic port is under the dash on the driver side.
If you're sure you've got the correct scanner and using it correctly then it is highly probably you have a bad ECM.
Where did u get your new ECM? You probably need to have it " flashed" @ a gm service dept. Or a shop with tec2 scanner
Is this a Factory LT1? In your 1992 Z28?
Under the passenger seat.
scanners work for 96 vechicles or newer
It is behind the battery.
Reprogram the ECM.
you dont use the ecm, you use one of the wires from the second injector, i think its blue
That's programmed into the ECM. You'd need to hook a computer with the appropriate software for the engine to the ECM, and adjust the settings there. If it's not your truck to do this with, then the ECM will most likely be password protected, and you won't be able to do this.
IF YOU JUST WANT TO ERASE THE ENGINE CODE GET AND OBD2 SCANNER THEY HAVE A CODE RESET FUNCTION. IF YOU NEED TO FLASH THE ECM CHECK THE DEALER FIRST, BUT SOME AFTER MARKET AUTO PARTS STORES CAN REFLASH ECM'S
Behind driver seat in with battery , have to take battery out to get ECM out. First check 20 amp fuse next to battery it is for the ECM , protects it.
The ecm is under the dash above the glove box. Above and to the left of that ( smaller box ) is the cruise control module.
behind right kick panel
F32 - basically what it comes down to is shorted wires between the ECM and BCM, a bad ECM or BCM or a faulty prom or memcal inside the ECM or BCM.
The 1992 Chevrolet Astro Van ECM can be tested with a diagnostic tester. Most auto mechanic shops have diagnostic testers.
The ECM is located behind the right side kick panel. If you sit in the passenger seat, the kick panel will be next to your right foot.
You don't. The ecm adjusts it.
Inside the dashboard, to the right of the glove box.
There's an OBD2 port on the LH side of the dash, under the steering wheel... you plug an OBD2 scanner into there.
it is behind the drivers side speaker u have to remove the speaker, und bolts on ecm and lift it out. then you put in the new one a plug it in. no programming is required.
There is no such thing on Lumina. However if you're talking about the ECM (electronic control module), then you'll need to remove the coolant reservoir. The ECM is located under it.
