If it is for the rear diff, you raise the vehicle, sometimes it is easier to pull the wheels off, on the top side of the diff you will find plug that you unbolt and let the fluid pour! the best way to get the old out is to take the cover off the backside of the diff and let it all drain out, make sure to clean off all the old gasket and just use rtv silicone to make a new gasket!
