There are filler holes for this, engine oil goes in the valve cover hole. Auto tranny? goes into the dipstick hole for the tranny. Get someone to show you! If you are this mechanically deficiant do not try this without asking someone to show you. Putting the wrong fluid in here and there will make your Jeep a big POS and cost you lots of money! No shame in asking questions! After that you will know.

as long as is it the same motor the tranny should be the same

No. The engine does not need removed to replace the transmission.

to add transmission fluid, pour it down the tube where the dip stick goes. Not the dip stick for the motor oil, but the transmission fluid. It is located by the fire wall under the hood. I use a funnel attached to a hose to stick in the tube, makes it a whole lot easier.

It is an automatic transmission fluid. It is an automatic transmission fluid.

Seriously? A 305 Chevy motor does not take "transmission fluid"! The transmission takes transmission fluid, and the motor takes oil. The 305 should hold 5 quarts of oil I believe. As for the transmission, I believe that all depends on what transmission you have. Seriously? A 305 Chevy motor does not take "transmission fluid"! The manual trans would be the AX5 5 speed fully synchronized.

They use the same kind of Automatic Transmission But there are two different manual transmissions. The grand Cherokee can use the AX-15 manual transmission which is bigger than the AX-5 but not the automatic transmission.

Honda Manual Transmission Fluid is recommended for a 5-speed manual B16A motor. Amsoil Manual Transmission Fluid will also work in a 5-speed manual B16A motor.

The motor and transmission share the same fluid. So if you check the oil you are also checking the transmission fluid.

if you have a leak between the trans and engine it is most likely a front input shaft seal or front pump seal. you must remove the transmission to replace these seals.

I mean how do you disassemble the fan blower in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. how do you remove the blower fan from the car in the Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo.

The 1998 Harley-Davidson motorcycle transmission has a transmission fluid dipstick. You can check the transmission fluid in the same way you would check the motor oil.

You can check the motor oil or the transmission fluid.

driver side on the back of the motor where is crak sensor on 94 jeep 4.0 grand Cherokee

Yes and no. As long as the motor is the same, the harness should be the same.

It may fit, but it is not plug and play. The computer and trans systems are different.

I have a 95 Cherokee Country and I guess they are the same. The motor is on the firewall under the hood on the passenger side behind the washer fluid container. You will need to remove the fluid reservoir to access the bolts holding the motor in.

Yes, you just have to be sure that all connections are the same along with the sensors. If you need you can swap them with the ones from the old engine.
