The spectrum is usually divided into Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. The mnemonic for remembering it is Roy G. Biv

Technically, in a spectrum the colors are not separate but blend smoothly from one color into another, with intermediate colors in between.
