The fuel pump inertia switch is a MECHANICAL switch that " breaks " the
electrical circuit to the electric fuel pump so that no power is going to the
electric fuel pump
GM vehicles do not use inertia switches
Cadillac does not use inertia switches.
The Chilton and Haynes manuals both say that the inertia switch is on the toe board to the right of the transmission hump. I can't find it. Can anyone help me locate it?
It is under the steering wheel to the left right to the headlight switch.
I would expect that the power for the fuel pump would be supplied through the ignition switch so I would start there, that is check the ignition switch.
