The eastern diamondback is found from coastal NC to Louisiana, the western is found from eastern Texas and Oklahoma to southern California. Neither species is found in Canada.

There are 2 types of diamondback rattlesnakes the eastern and the western diamondback. The Eastern Diamondback is found in the southeastern United States from southeastern North Carolina, including Florida and The Florida Keys. It is also found along the Gulf Coast in Southern Mississippi through SE Louisiana. Found in the Southwestern United States and in Mexico. It is found in central Arkansas and SE California.
