Crocodiles live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, America and Australia. They like to live in freshwater habitats like rivers, lakes and wetlands.

They are also found in many islands in the IndoPacific oceans. Europe and Antarctica are the only continents that have no living species of crocodilians.
