Where does small black third connector go on 1990 Toyota Corolla alternator harness-- possibly not used?
I need a Connector for my 1993 Toyota Corolla and was told by a dealership to look at junk yards. The connector comes on the harness which you can buy but cost $1200. The hardest problem I have is finding the time to take the part off so I can run around to each junk yard to find it, but then one junk yard said it would be $25.
Why does your battery light keep coming on in your 99 Olds Intrigue and you just had a new alternator put in and bought a new battery but the light is still coming on?
Hello, The following is the procedure for removing the alternator on a Lexus ES330: Remove or disconnect the following: § Negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds before performing any other work. § Remove two wire harness clamps. § Disconnect the alternator connector. § Open the terminal clamp. § Remove the nut, then disconnect the alternator wire. § Loosen mounting bolts to lessen tension of the alternator belt § Remove mounting bolts § Remove…
Disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable at battery. Then you will have to release the tension on the serpentine belt there is a belt tensioner that requires a 22mm wrench to release the belt. Then disconnect wire HARNESS CONNECTOR on back of alternator & remove mounting bolts. Assemble in reverse order.
Could be a lot of things, but before you spend a lot of money, check TSB 04-14-9, or point it out to your mechanic. Seems that in '03 and early '04 models, there was a problem with electrical cross-talk between the charging circuit and ECU sensor leads in the alternator wiring harness which sometimes causes stalling. In my case ('04 model), I was able to fix it simply by cleaning and applying dielectric grease to…
Radiator Fan Doesn't Operate After Alternator Replacement I suspect that the wiring harness to the Radiator Fan got disturbed inadvertently during the Alternator replacement. This could include a connector plug being pulled loose, a wire cut or broken or "pinched" and thus in contact [grounded] with/to a component of the engine which is grounded.
Disconnect the negative cable on the battery. Loosen the tensioner for the accessory belt for the alternator and remove the belt. Remove the two long bolts that are holding the alternator in the bracket. Do not let the alternator fall and tear the wires. Support it as it comes loose so you can reach the wires. Remove the main battery wire off of the single power connection on the back of the alternator. Remove the…
Where do you buy an alternator for a 1990 Geo Storm 2x2 1.6 liter when you have gone to the auto parts store and junk yards but they are always too big or not the right one.?
Has to be 1990 to 1993 storm 22, no prism ( same size motor ) then there is 2 differant ones for that model a Bosch that's 75 or 85 amp and Nippondenso this one is 65 or 75 amps this one is 10 amps lower then the Bosch Be careful of the connector. The Nippondenso type connector has circuitry built into it which is prone to failure. See link for more info: ***http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3828/is_199906/ai_n8860044/*** Make…
The blower motor resistor is above the passenger side close-out panel, below the glove compartment and towards the firewall. There will be a wiring harness leading from it to the blower motor and another harness leading into it. The harness leading into it will have a 4-wire connector and the harness leading to the blower motor will have a 2-wire connector.
What do you do with the extra alternator wire on the 1986 Ford Escort plug there are four wires and new alternator plug has three?
I assume your talking about the rectangular plug right at the alternator, and that your new Alt came with a short repair harness, the 2 heavy wires are BAT and the slim and likely white one is Tachometer AC sense, likely that 3 of the old ones were Bat test the old connector with a test light to see which of them have power to them.
A/C Won't Work After Alternator Replacement Either this is an unusual coincidence, OR the person changing the alternator inadvertently disconnected some of the A/C wiring [like a harness connector], OR damaged one the wires in the A/C circuit. The A/C compressor has a wire to supply current to it to engage the A/C clutch, and if that wire is disconnected, cut or broken, then the A/C clutch cannot engage.
If it is just one injector, it is a bad injector or a problem in the wiring harness or connector for that injector. If it is all of the injectors, it could be a fuse, the entire injector harness, a broken loose or unplugged connector on the injector harness, or the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.
