Where does the great salt lake get its salt?

ever been there? its kinda gross. it so close to pure salt it has so much that you really shouldn't even get in the water. the salt might run out someday but for right now it is not going anywhere and it probably has some ocean outlet

Correction: First---the Great Salt Lake has no outlet, which is the cause for its salinity. Rainwater goes in and the only means for the water leaving the lake is evaporation, leaving behind the salt and minerals.
