if there is no cable and your book says there is or someone at mercury says there is don't believe it... run one yourself and if you can't have someone at a stereo place do it.

It is in the far back on the passenger side by the door.

For a 1999 Mercury Sable wagon : I believe you will find the six disc CD changer ( if equipped ) in the cargo area behind the panel for the storage compartment / service compartment on the right side

If you have a center console, that is where you will find it. If there is no center console it is in the trunk.

They are on the front just under your radiator. They run from your transmission to your radiator. They have quick connects on both sides.

I understand it was an op. I need to know where they already wired to install one? The unit in the front shows CD on it. The area in the truck is empty.

I would say that you don't have one. The radios are generic they can be used with or w/o CD changers. It is just the difference on the CD changer remote wire running to the back of the radio. There are only a few places that would be located. Trunk, glove box, middle console, or underneath one the seats. These are really the only places that the factory puts them. Hope this helps.AnswerIn the 1998 Sable - Taurus, the CD changer is in the back left corner of the trunk. In the wagon, the changer is over on the other side on the right.See "Related Questions" below for more about Taurus - Sable radios

First place I would check are the local auto salvage (aka junk) yards.
