It's wherever the last person who put the distributor in put it at. IF you want to know for sure then set your #1 cylinder at TDC and see where the rotor points to. It's either at that terminal or the one opposite of it. Usually the factory points the #1 to the front somewhere. your firing order is 165432 i think also. and the distributor turns CW i believe also too.
The oil pressure sensor on a 1997 V8 is on the top rear of the engine next to the distributor.

Bring the #1 plug up, find the firing order to the distributor then go clockwise. What type of engine is it? if its a 4 cylinder engine, cyl #1 is at the front of the engine, then #2, #3 and at the rear is #4. the distributor cap has one terminal that has a "1" on it and an arrow showing the direction that the rotor turns. obviously the #1 wire goes on the #1 terminal. the next terminal (following the arrow) is 3 then 4 then 2.
On the six cylinder it is on the passenger side of the engine. On the eight cylinder it is behind the intake manifold on the back of the engine.
On number one terminal, put engine at tdc on 1. If engine/rotor hasn't moved, leave rotor alone.
