Probably behind the glove box. Check for a melted connection at the blower motor also.
It's behind the glove box according to my Chilton manual. I'm not sure if the dash has to be removed, but the condenser does if you have AC. So, the AC has to be discharged first. The dealer estimates 4 hours labor to replace the blower motor.
remove right side under dash panel remove blower cover unplug motor remove motor and blower regulator swap regulator on to new motor note all u need is a philpps head and a 15 and 25 torques

Defective Blower Motor Resistor Pack.
the blower motor should be either on the passenger firewall or in the passenger floorboard below the dash
If your fan control speed #1 stops working and then #2 stops working I believe it is the blower motor modual it is sometimes called blower motor resistor block. It is behind the fan motor , up under the passenger side of the dash and against the firewall. If you are looking underneath the dash, you will see a little black box in the position I described. It is being held in by 3 or 4 gold hex screws that are (I believe) .25'. Its not the fan motor control switch ....return that $165.00 part .....the blower motor modual is about $25 if you get it wholesale. These parts are usually not in stock and have to be imported from the Czech Republic, so order early.
Blower motor is located at front passenger foot well area. Remove passenger underdash panel. You will see lower part of climate control box. Their are four small Torx screws holding a cover panel to heater box ,remove this panel. You will clearly see blower motor and regulator , again held in with Torx screws. Remove screws and you have blower motor in your hands . I think all screws at Torx 25 .
this means that your blower motor resistor is out. it is located right behind the blower motor itself. its small with one connector piece with wires and one 6-pointed (star) screw. pretty easy to change out. the part costs $25
Blower motor resistor...around $25 on eBay
Most likely the "low" speed section of the blower motor resistor is open. Unless you have the automatic A/C/heat control, the resistor will cost you 20 or 25 dollars.
The front blower motor for a 2005 Ford Freestar is located in behind the glove compartment. To gain access you need to completely drop down the glove compartment. You can do this by just pushing in on the tabs (upper location, rear glove box) that hold it in place. Then do the following: -Unplug wiring harness that sits directly in front of blower motor. (allows more room to remove part) -Unplug power supply to blower motor. -Remove 3 screws that hold the motor in place. Suggest you use a socket wrench with extension. That's pretty much it. You may have to move the blower motor around a bit in order to extract it, however it's not too difficult. Depending on your comfort level to perform this task, removal and installation should only take 25 to 45 minutes.
I just had the same thing happen to me. Your blower motor has gone bad. You need a new one. They can cost up to like $70 depends where you go. I went to my local junk yard and picked one up for $25. And it works great!!! Best of luck to you.
