Where is DNA located in the cell?
DNA located in nucleus as well as mitochondria in the cell.
A chromosome makes you who you are. In a cell, the chromosomes are located in the nucleus, the 'brain' of the cell. they are like the DNA, but not specifically. there is actual DNA for that. in a cell, the chromosomes are located in the nucleus, the 'brain' of the cell. they are like the DNA, but not specifically. there is actual DNA for that.
DNA is located in an organisms cells. It depends, however, on what kind of organism it is. In a prokaryotic cell (single celled organisms), the DNA is more or less free floating in the cytoplasm, inside the cell wall. However, in a Eukaryotic Cell (multi-celled organisms), the DNA is located tightly packed in the nucleus of the cell.
DNA is located inside the cells in two places. The main DNA, or nuclear DNA, is located in the nucleus of each cell. That is what most people think of when they mean DNA, and that comes from both parents. The mitochondria, or the energy factories of each cell, have their own DNA, and that DNA comes almost exclusively from the mother.
