Mounted to the frame on the drivers side under the battery. Remove the battery and battery holder. The radiator fan relay is a small square box that is screwed or riveted to the frame and has a 4-pin connector. The connector has the following pin out:
pin1 18BK Ground
pin2 20DG PCM Control
pin3 14LG Fan B+ Feed
pin4 14GY Fan Feed Output
It is actually mounted to the lower radiator support.

The radiator fan relay is located in the engine compartment in the under hood fuse panel. Follow the red wire from the battery to the black box. Take off the cover and look on the underside it will tell you its exact position.
Yes. Cooling fan, engine fan, and radiator fan relays are all the same thing.
Check the temp sensor. Also, if the AC compressor is on the radiator fan will be on, so turn off the defroster and the AC.
The Radiator fan relay has probably failed. It is bolted to the lower side support next to the radiator.
A faulty fan motor, A faulty fan motor relay, A faulty coolant temp sensor, A faulty ECM, (most unlikely),
When the radiator fan relay fails on a vehicle, it can quickly overheat due to the lack of cooling. The fan is designed to kick on at specific temperatures controlled by the relay.

The 2004 Jeep Liberty radiator fan relay switch can be found on the back of the fan motor. The relay switch is attached directly to the fan motor.
