The Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) is located right next to the air intake on the right side of the engine exterior, closer to the EGR Valve (next to the throttle and the air filter assembly: MAF sensor, engine air filter, and hoses). Note: if I'm not mistaken, there are possibly 2 IAC valves installed. They're about $40 + tax per IAC valve.

One method of purging air from the cooling system after repairs and flushing it involves refilling it, and running the motor and heater, and leaving the radiator pressure cap off to 'burp' off the air trapped inside.
The EGR valve, on your 1995 Oldsmobile 2.3 liter engine, is located on the side of the air filter housing. The valve should be labeled as such.
