The pcv valve is under neith the exhaust manifold. If you look from the right side of the car between the exhaust guard, you will see a hose that connects to the pcv, good luck replacing it though, I haven't been able to do it.
AnswerOn my 97 Ford Contour with the help of one of the answers here I found the PCV valve behind the heat guard on the driver's side at the front of the vehicle. It's is pretty simple to remove it by getting to it from under the vehicle. You can use a screwdriver to pop out the old one. The hose attached to the valve is connected to a metal pipe which makes it a little screwy to get out but if you just work with it you'll get it. AnswerOn my 98 Ford Contour, it was in the same location as above. I found it easier to remove the heat shield held on by 4 bolts, and with a long screwdriver in between the exhaust manifold, was able to pry the pcv valve away. Keep in mind the metal tube will bend away, and you can assist this bending as your prying it out, then bend it back in as you put it back in. A 5 dollar part and about 30 minutes of total time to complete this repair which the repair shop quoted me 200 bucks for.Where is the PCV valve located on a 4 cyl ford contour and will this if replaced will let my service engine light go off?
