On a '94 Chevy 1500, the air conditioning orifice tube is located to the posterior of the right turn signal. It can be accessed by removing the grill.

Chevy did not use an Idle Air temperature sensor on that year.

You can find a diagram for replacing the air conditioning compressor on your 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup truck in a Chevy service manual. Many auto-parts stores will supply the diagram when you purchase the air conditioning compressor.
It is located in the duct right before the air box that houses the air filter.

The 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 do not come with a cabin air filter. GM stopped putting them in around 2003 and newer.
Flows into the vehicle over the heater core.

The intake temperature sensor is located on the side of the air filter case on a 2003 Chevy Silverado 4.3 1500. It is on the top of the engine.
If the system was void of oil, 8 ounces should do it.
Just call a parts store and they will tell you.
