pull dome fuse above knee. in fuse box. pulling battery makes ecu relearn everything. dome fuse resets memory only.
Maybe just disconnect battery for a couple of minutes and it will reset
On my 93 suzuki sidekick the check engine light came on at exactly 120000 miles. It can be reset if you take your drivers side speaker out you'll find a switch in there to reset it.If the problem occurs again then you probably have a real problem. If you vehicle is not running any different then I wouldn't be that concerned.
Usually a problem in the emission control system - have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
Try at least four, check the dipstick and see where you are from there. I have a '92 with a '98 engine and it uses four quarts.
get the CEL checked and fix the problem. Disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes will reset the light on an OBD1 vehicle.
Check this link http://carfix.stufftoread.com/find-parts.html
if you disconnect the o2 sensor cable in the air intake then start the engine you would see the check engine sign turned on in the gauge panel. It is on then the sensor is working if off the the sensor may have problems
check if you have fuel and spark it needs both to work
use a scan tool use a code reader either press reset. or pull dome fuse with 2min , put back. its reset.
place the Diagnostic jumper and read out the flashes. http://www.kick-fix.com/CEL/CEL.html this looks complex but it covers 89 to 95 FED and California cars. then post your DTC errors here. code 12 is normal , but you will have others. http://www.suzuki-forums.com/suzuki-sidekick-escudo-vitara-geo-tracker/
There are a number of reasons why the check engine light comes on, on a Suzuki x90. This is an indication that there is some malfunction in the engine which requires attention.
It is on because the PCM has detected a malfunction, see related questions below.
because you failed to pull the DTC codes with a coder reader (OBD2) and then correct this error. pull the DTC code and post that . get Huge response
