I have a '97 chev. truck and the fuel filter is mounted to the inside of the frame directly below the cab on the drivers side
Do it yourself engine transmission flush and filter change on 2005 Chevy silverado 5.3?"
6Qts. with a new filter.
It does not have one after 2005 they stopped installing them
GM no longer uses an external fuel filter on their trucks and SUV's.
The 2005 Chevy Silverado has two different motor options. It can be purchased with a v6 4.3L engine or it can be purchased with a v8 4.8L engine. It has the options of both automatic and manual transmission.
Need engine size.
GM decided to remove the cabin air filter option starting in all 2005 trucks. You do not have a cabin air filter in your '06 silverado.
its in the tank as part of the pump. inaccessible unless you drop the tank.
Will a 2000 chevy 2500 bumper fit a 2005 chevy 2500
GM phased out the in cab air filter in 2004. No filter to change on the 2005 model year. Napa still sells them, but their database of parts is flawed.
The process to change the pressure sensor is the same for any engine in the 2005 Silverado, but the location may change between engine types. The sensor should be close to the oil filter. Remove the sensor wire, then screw the sensor out. Screw a new sensor in, then reconnect the wire.
In 2004 Chevy moved the fuel filter from the frame rail and put it inside of the fuel tank. That's were yours is at, In the tank.
