What effect has the Latin King Gang had on the Humbolt Park community?
The Latin Kings have a huge effect on the Humbolt Park area. Even bigger than most people would like to believe. The fact that they rule that area and control it show how powerful they are against the law. They can make anyone living in that area not talk. If the people are scared of being in danger because they are threatened by the Latin Kings and Queens, that is a problem because the law cannot give them the protection that others can.

Why was the Scholl von Humboldt named after Alexander Von Humboldt?
Probably, Humboldt was a popular naturalist and shall we say knowledge-Man. as one might guess he has been much-honored by nomenclature of Parks. There was a movement to call Central Park (In NY) Humboldt Park, this was shorted-out by anti-German tidal wave in World War I- though there is a bust of him in the southern part of the park, probably sponsored by a German citizens" club. There are many Humbolt parks. There is a parody on a hymn that goes- Jesus is sneaking through Humboldt Park- actually the song is Jesus is seeking your humble heart! That park is in California. Natalie Wood hung out there as a child.

What is the Best redwood forest to visit?
It's a tough question to answer as it all depends on what appeals to you personally. In my opinion, the most beautiful forests are those found in Prairie Creek Redwoods and Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Parks. These places have the largest trees and the most lush and diverse flora. Though much taller trees are found in Montgomery Woods, Humbolt Redwoods State park and the Tall Trees Grove in Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek and Jed Smith are just amaziing. C. Denny

What is the name of the park in Manhattan?
There are many, many parks in Manhattan, but the one you are probably thinking of is Central Park. Central Park, which is located in the center of Manhattan, is Manhattan's biggest park, at 843 acres. Other parks in Manhattan are Inwood Hill Park, Riverside Park, Morningside Park, Highbridge Park, Fort Washington Park, Fort Tryon Park, Bryant Park, Union Square Park, Stuyvesant Square Park, Gramercy Park (in the neighborhood called Gramercy Park), Battery Park, Washington Square Park, Thompkins Square Park, City Hall Park, Foley Square Park, Columbus Park, Collect Pond Park, Seward Park, Corlears Hook Park, East River Park, Sarah Roosevelt Park, St. Vartan Park, Cavala Park, Duane Park, James J. Walker Park, Murphy Park, Hudson River Greenway, Chelsea Park, John Jay Park, Carl Schurz Park, Jefferson Park, Marcus Garvey Park, St. Nicolas Park, Jackie Robinson Park, Isham Park, Theodore Roosevelt Park, and probably a few others I've missed. Riverside Park is 267 acres, Inwood Hill Park is 196 acres, and Highbridge Park is 119 acres, but the rest of the parks listed are comparatively very small. Morningside Park, for example, is 30 acres, Battery Park is 25 acres, and Washington Square Park and Bryant Park are less than 10 acres each. Most of the rest, such as Stuyvesant Square Park, City Hall Park, Foley Square Park, Columbus Park, Collect Pond Park, James J. Walker Park, Murphy Park, St. Vartan Park, Chelsea Park, John Jay Park, Carl Schurz Park, Jefferson Park, Marcus Garvey Park, St. Nicolas Park, Seward Park, Cavala Park, Duane Park and Isham Park are only a few acres each. St. Vartan Park, for example, is 2.76 acres, Corlears Hook Park is 4.3 acres, Seward Park is 3 acres, Collect Pond Park is less than 1 acre, and Cavala Park is half an acre.
