You may not have an oil dipstick with this model of Benz. My C240 (2001) instead has electronic oil level measuring software that you access through the electronic dash display. Refer to you're owner's manual for the correct sequence of steering wheel buttons to push (with the ignition on). good luck I have a 2002 c 240. Turn the engine off, ignition on, use the button on your steering wheel to navigate to the place where is shows you car mileage, then us the arrow button to get to the 'oil dipstick'. There isn't one like in the older cars, it's all automatic.

Standing at the front of the car, in a C280 '95, the oil dipstick is located in the right side of the engine and in the front of it. It has a red plastic ring .
If its a newer model they do not have dipsticks. the dashboard will display your oil leve;.

there isn't any. Mercedes provides a cap next to the firewall drivers side to the transmission filler tube but no dipstick. THEY DON'T WANT ANYONE PUTTIMG THE WRONG FLUIDS IN THERE. YOU NEED SPECIAL TRANS FLUID. YOU CAN BUY A DIPSTICK FOR IT ON E-BAY.
lift bonnet look to the left front side of the engine you will see the red finger hole of the oil dipstick just pull it up
The oil dipstick is located in the engine compartment on the front of the engine. The oil dipstick handle is yellow.
The dipstick is located behind the steering wheel.
