When I had this problem with my 1999 Toyota Solara, the issue ended up being a faulty oil pressure sender unit. The 2001 Toyota Camry uses the same engine (and very likely the same sending unit) as the 1999 Toyota Solara.
It's inside gas tank, attached to sending unit.
on left side of engine block next to oil filter
on a 4 cyl it is on the cylinder head, just below the valve cover, on the drivers side front of the engine.
The oil sending unit is on the passenger side of the enginge block below the timing belt cover. You will need to remove the alternater and belt to service it.
How do you change the oil filter sending unit of a 1999 suburban?
Firewall side of engine get it from under the car
Where is the coolant temperature sending unit in a 96 toyota tacoma 3.4L V6
no the Camry has a Rack-and-pinion unit that is not servicable
It has both.
Thes sending unit is located inside gas tank.
you needto take the sending unit out and check your oil pressure with a gauge. you oil pump may be losing oil pressure
