This depends on the engine. In any event, it will be the 02 senser upstream from the catalyst, and on the front side of the engine if a V-6 Bank 1 = Odd firing side, or only senser if a 4 cyl Upstream from the catalyst. Generally #1 cylinder bank. Bank 2 = Even firing side, upstream from the catalyst. Bank 1-2 indicates a V style engine with dual type header pipes in a y configuration Senser 1-2 indicates Upstream-Downstream relative to the catalyst to measure the catalysts efficiency. 1 = Upstream,(header pipe) 2 = Downstream (after the Catalyst) Usually the Senser 2 o2's go first because they become weaker, and with age and poor quality fuels, they, many times fail sooner. The computer likes to see the differentiation between the front and back sensers to measure the efficiency of the catalytic system... Good luck and hope this helps you! Max420
