This depends on the engine. In any event, it will be the 02 senser upstream from the catalyst, and on the front side of the engine if a V-6 Bank 1 = Odd firing side, or only senser if a 4 cyl Upstream from the catalyst. Generally #1 cylinder bank. Bank 2 = Even firing side, upstream from the catalyst. Bank 1-2 indicates a V style engine with dual type header pipes in a y configuration Senser 1-2 indicates Upstream-Downstream relative to the catalyst to measure the catalysts efficiency. 1 = Upstream,(header pipe) 2 = Downstream (after the Catalyst) Usually the Senser 2 o2's go first because they become weaker, and with age and poor quality fuels, they, many times fail sooner. The computer likes to see the differentiation between the front and back sensers to measure the efficiency of the catalytic system... Good luck and hope this helps you! Max420
It is the sensor below the catalytic converter.
A 1997 Dodge with a Cummins diesel does not have an oxygen sensor.A 1997 Dodge with a Cummins diesel does not have an oxygen sensor.
Downstream O2s are on the outlet side of the catalytic converter(s).
On the v6, yes.
It could, along with numerous other things.
It is in the same housing with the MAF by the air filter box.
Check out a good Public Library.
There are two. One before and one after the catalytic converter.
There is one on each side of the catalytic converter.
Dodge does not use inertia/reset switches.
Not equipped with one.
It is located in the exhaust manifold Usually in the lower front of the engine it will have a grey wire coming from it to a plug. simply remove it and replace with a new one. Keep in mind if your O2 sensor is bad you will have a check engine light on.
There are 2. Both are on the exaust pipe before and after the catalytic converter.
It is located inside the distributor. It is not servicable, There are little pins inside that a easily broken if you try to replace it yourself.
If you are looking for a reset switch, Dodge does not use them.
It doesn't have a governor pressure sensor. The "rev" limiter is part of the computer programming and can not be changed.
125 psi approximately.
On either exhuast tube, one directly in front of, and one directly behind the Catalytic Converters.
The starter relay switch is in the same location on both the 1996 and the 1997 Dodge Avenger. The starter relay switch can be found in the fuse box.
