It will cost approximately $250 to replace a shift solenoid in your Honda Odyssey. Replacing the shift solenoid yourself will reduce the cost to less than $50.

Inside the transmission
There are two shift solenoids on the Honda Civic. They are mounted on the side of the transmission that is closest the radiator.
On F series or H series engines which came in most 90's accords and preludes the shift solenoids are located near the front engine mount and slightly to the right on the transmission. They look like two protruding cylinders that have two electrical connectors.
