The combination flasher unit for the turn signals and hazard flashers is located to the left of the floor console behind the lower steering colum trim cover.
I have a 1996 Sunfire and the 4way flasher is located on the top of the steering column.
My flasher relay ( flasher if you will) is located in tne fuse panel on the front looking out at you. It is round.
In side the dash up under the steering wheel.
the flasher relay is part of your 4way flasher button there should be a recall if its not working correctly
There is no flasher unit. Spray WD40 around 4way flasher switch on top of thesteering column. Operate switch a few times. Worked for me on my 94 T-Bird.
You Should Find It In The Underhood Fuse/Relay Center. Located In The Rear Of Engine Compartment Near The Brake Resevior. Good Luck
Check all of your fuse panels... under the hood and the instrument panel If you are sitting in the drivers seat it is above your left foot.
YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER. IT WILL BE LOCATED ON OR VERY NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN UNDER THE DASH.
I own an 89, so they should be set up the same. There are two separate flashers for the 4ways and turn signals. The 4way flasher shoud be clipped under the dash on the driver side and the turn signal flasher is plugged in under the dash on the firewall, also on the driver side.
the turn signal flasher may be the problem moast vehickles have one forturn &one for 4way
behind the dashboard near the 4way switch just listen for a clicking noise when your taking the dash arpart and that is where you will find it im pretty sure im not a 100% on this
The flasher is located up under the dash on the drivers side between the steering colum and the kick panel. Be aware there are 2 flashers in this model. they are both the same so the easy way to tell the difference is to turn on the 4way flashers. the one that does not click on and off is the signal flasher. I have a update for the Trooper. I have a 1998 Isuzu Trooper. This model has only 1 Flasher relay. It is located on the left side of the kick panel on the drivers side. It has 2 tabs holding it to the base. It is small about 1" wide and 3/4" tall as you are looking at it. It is right above the fuse panel and the plastic kick panel itself. This model is not under the steering column. I was looking forever under there!
They are two separate circuits. Check the 4 way fuse then check the 4 way flasher relay.
treat it like a 4way stopp
If the the problem is not in the actual switch itself, you may have a "flasher" going bad. these run your turn signals and four ways. They are usually located up under the dash some where or close to the fuse or relay boxes.
I CANT GET MY TURN SIGNAL OR 4WAY FLASHERS TO WORK ,FUELS ARE GOOD. I HAVE A 98 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR CANT GET THE TURN SIGNALS OR 4WAY FLASHERS TO WORK. FULSE OR GOOD
we use 2-3way switch and 1-4way switch
you will need 2-3way switch and 2-4way switch
It would be a lengthy process explaining that without a drawing. I suggest, you look at the drawing of th switch.
the 4way mutil.switch. Headlights. turn sig. wiper washer. I was not the lcm.
You have to unscrew the oil pressure sensor on the back of the engine. then screw in the 4-way adapter you should have in the hole where you unscrewed the oil pressure sensor, it should come with a plug in the 4way, screw the sensor into the 4way alone with the oil line for your turbo. If you do not have a 4way they sell adapters which are placed underneath the oil filter with a spot where you can screw on the oil line. And yes you should be able to pass an emissions test because a turbo actually atomizes the fuel to probuce lower emissions.
It is not on the "convenience center." It is further up toward the dash. You can find it by finding a group of wires that are bundled to the left of the "convenience center" (which is under the dash and can be easily located by turning on the 4way flashers since that relay is in the convenience center). From that group of wires, find two that head off by themselves and follow it up behind the gauges. The flasher is attached to something behind the dash with a simple clip. You can just pull it off. It's so far up behind the dash you can barely feel it is there, and I didn't even attempt to put the new unit back in the same place.
We need more information. Never work? Come on and not blink? Do the 4way flashers work?
I JUST DID THIS YESTERDAY, NOT VERY HARD JUST TIME CONSUMING. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE JUST ABOUT EVERY PIECE OF PLASTIC YOU SEE. THE SHROUD AROUND THE STEERING COLUM,(5 SCREWS) THE BOTTOM PANEL(2 SCREWS) THE TRIM AROUND THE INSTRUMENT CLUTER(4 SCREWS) THE ASH TRAY,THEN THE 2 SCREWS BEHIND IT, THEN POP THE RADIO TRIM REMOVE THE RADIO, THEN REACH UP TO DISCONNECT THE 4WAY FLASHER AND THE REAR DEFOGGER. THEN 2 SCREWS TO THE DASH. AND POP IT OFF. EASY HUH? OTHER THAN THE TWO SCREWS BEHIND THE ASH TRAY, YHE REST ARE THE SAME, ONE SIZE FITS ALL. MITCHELL
