The American Historic Society belongs to the National Consumer Marketing (NCM). AHS seems to have gotten themselves in trouble with the Better Business Bureau due to poor customer service (over charging or charging for items not ordered). As far as I can tell, AHS has shut down their Website at this time. Actually, as of November 2008 they're back marketing a commemorative Barack Obama Victory plate. They are adverstising on TV with the website www.victoryplate.com Hope this helps! (Additional information: Please note that the image of Barack Obama's face is transposed on the plate. His face is mirror image rather than true image)
Additional comment from "Collector." There is a company selling a Michael Jackson Commemorative Lithograph on television that claims they are sanctioned by The American Historical Society. Too bad they will not let you ask any questions before you order. They also force you to get a "free" thing, for which you pay an additional $7.00 postage. That makes their limited edition cost $10, plus $7.00 for ship it, plus and additional $7.00 for the free additional thing. BUYER BEWARE! If the American Historical Society has complaints already, I will bet that there is a lot more hankey-pankey going on at this business.

American social, economic and political values are the driving force in US society. With that said, it can be fair to say that American values and society's values are interchangeable.
American Historic Society was owned by National Consumer Marketing. National Consumer Marketing or NCM filed for bankruptcy in 2007. In early 2008 JSD LLC purchased American Historic Society and started selling many of the same products on the official website at americanhistoricsociety.com.

You will have to take the coin to a collector or coin dealer so someone can see it. Just because it is from The American Historic Society does not mean it's a Mint State coin. I have seen many coin sets from this society, so don't be surprised if they are not uncirculated coins.
From what I have found, they sell for between $50 and $300 usd.
less than the shipping and handling
