It is in the fire wall behind the heater box.
service engine soon you have a problem with your car that your ECM has detected
Near the ECM under the center console.
It is located behind the center console near the ECM. It is large and gold in color
I believe you need to drive it so the ECM relearns it's idle.
Bad ECM or bad distributor
ECM will not cause A/C to not work properly. some of the earlier mitsubishi's had a ground wire for the A/C going through the ECM. and i have ran into the circuit in the ECM that grounds it go out causing the A/C to not work on a few diffrent cars
where is the ecm unit in a 1997 Chevy Malibu 3.1 6 cly
Engine Control Module.............
The Engine Control Module (manual transmission), also known as PCM Powertrain COntrol Module (automatic transmission), is located interior under the glove box.
The 1997 Ford Ranger ECM computer is located behind the dashboard. The computer will be on the passenger side of the passenger compartment.
you dont use the ecm, you use one of the wires from the second injector, i think its blue
The Engine Control Module (ECM) probably has to be flashed to relearn the new cluster. This is a job for the Mitsubishi dealer.
There is no such thing. The pump runs off a relay. There is a fuel pump shut off relay. If the ecm sees a fault in the system, it will shut off the pump to prevent damage or fire.
Try removing all of the center console parts assuming it is a turbo and has the 4g63t engine if not should be right up bye the battery that big thing with all the heat sinks and plugs in it
Just unhook the battery cables for 5 mins, That will reset the ECM
you will find ECM center front (inside car ) on the floor hide by black plastic.
change alternater first, then ecm blowed
i am afraid this question you need vin # ,engine size, AT, and possibly a trip to the Mitsubishi dealer. I have had luck at a GOOD junk yard with getting an ecm that works in my vehicle even though the #'s off old ecm are not exactly the same. If you can get the old ecm out take it with you to the junk yard and see if they can match it. Also there is a place in Florida that repairs your ecm and sends it back to you. Do a Google search and you should be able to find them.
Passenger side of the firewall.
Either replace the engine ECM or have the existing one reflashed with new parameters.
the library should have a shop manual for this vehicle, you can make copies of the right sections :)
