On a 2003-2006 Sprinter the fuel filter is located on the driver side of the engine block. About half way up and down, and front to back.
You are do for an oil change and fuel filter replacement.
The Dodge Sprinter van first entered production in 2003. It has continuously been produced from 2003 to 2009. Production of the Dodge Sprinter has seized as of 2009.
The engine will starve for fuel and may not run at all.
The 2003 Sprinter has a mechanical fuel pump on the engine. While changing the filter you have airlocked the fuel system. The way I restart them is to apply suction to the return hose on the filter(look for arrows) and pull on it until you get fuel. Had this problem on 2002 sprinter, the problem was the sensor on the bottom of the filter not connected properly
2003 requires priming the filter with a suction devise. 2004-2009 will self prime by turning the key on for 10 second and then cranking until it starts.
Some have green, some have red.
A 2003 Dodge Dakota does not have a cabin filter.
You have a low side fuel system leak. Normal causes are the o-rings on the lines and fittings at the fuel filter.
