It is on the left (drivers) side of the engine compartment near the headlight. It is in the line that runs from the condenser mounted on the radiator, to the evaporator in the passenger compartment. MAKE SURE THERE IS NO PRESSURE IN THE SYSTEM BEFORE YOU WORK ON THIS PROJECT. There is a valve right next to the orafice tube so that you can ensure there is no pressure on the high side.
This is the escort page not the Taurus page.
Where is the A/C expansion valve on the 1994 Lexus Es300
Along the left front fender just below the hood level.

2002 ford taurus where is the orifice tube located
It is running just below the hood level on the drivers side of the engine compartment. It runs the whole length of the fender. The orifice itself is in the middle.
An orifice tube can be removed on the 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 by cutting it out of the liquid line. It is actually easier to replace the whole evaporator tube than just the orifice tube.
The orifice tube is located between the engine and the fire wall. The windshield wiper cowling has to be removed to gain access to the orifice tube.

To remove the orifice tube on a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 you need to cut the tube out of the liquid line. Kits are available at your local auto parts store to replace the orifice tube once you have removed it.
AS you are sitting in the drivers seat it is along the left side of the engine compartment along the left fender. It takes special tools to replace the orifice. It's better to buy the line it is in.
Its in the outlet of the condenser.
Most orifice tubes are placed in the high pressure line to the evaporator at the fire wall connection. You will have to empty the freon from the system to replace the orifice tube which is not very expensive (the tube, that is).
through the tranny dipstick tube under the hood, with a funnel.
Yes but, it is called an orifice tube.
There is no expansion valve. There is an orifice tue. It is located in the inlet tube of the evaporator core.
It is located in the liquid line or tube between the condenser and evaporator.
As you are sitting in the drivers seat the orifice tube runs just below where the left fender bolts onto the front of the car. It is a couple of inches just below where the hood connects the engine bay about in the middle. You will have to trace it forwards and backwards until you find the lines to disconnect it.
What is the problem?
It does not have an orifice tube.

tHE ORIFICE TUBE IS LOCATED INSIDE THE AC LINE THAT GOES FROM THE RIGHT LOWER SIDE OF THE CONDENSER TO THE INLET TO THE EVAPORATOR. tHERE IS A NUT JUST BELOW THE ACCUMULATOR THAT YOU MUST OPEN UP AND THE ORIFICE TUBE IS INSIDE THE AFT SIDE OF THE LINE.
It uses an expansion valve, not an orifice tube.
