It is toward the rear of the driver's side valve cover. If you notice that the intake plenum kind of hangs over the valve cover a lttle bit. the PCV is at the end of a short vacuum line, under the edge of that overhang, toward the rear.

Standing in front of the ranger, approximately where the radiator cap is - follow it straight back, it's plugged in just underneath the right back side of the manifold. (you have to squat down to fender level to see it)

On the drivers side of the engine look below the #2 spark plug, if you get up on the engine you can look down past the plug you can see the top of the PCV valve. It is at the end of a black hose that is visible between the intake manifold for the #1 and #2 cylinders. Reach under the manifold and pull straight up on the valve, it will slide out of the rubber grommet. Remove valve from hose and replace with new unit. Slide new valve into grommet all the way to the stop on the valve. Good luck, Rob

Passenger side, valve cover, under the air intake hose, the ribbed hose. Make sure you check the hose too, mine had a hole in it making a crazy squeaking noise.

It probably doesn't have one. Most newer cars are not using them anymore, they are venting it by other means

What causes the rear brakes to lock up easily on a 2001 sport trac?

The brake shoes may be out of adjustment causing the shoes to contact the drums prematurely. You could have a proportiong valve issue, but try adjusting the rear brakes first.

Where is the PCV valve located on a 2002 Explorer Sport Trac?

This part runs along the top backside of the engine from one side to the other. It is a long black plastic piece that you can only get from the dealerships. Do not waste your time buying the PCV valve at an auto warehouse because it is NOT what you need. I cannot remember the cost but it was a bit pricey for what you get. If it is clogged though you will notice a huge difference... I know I did. $30 +/-

What does cyl 3 misfire error code mean on a ford explorer 2001 sport trac?

It Means that cylinder number three is experiencing a misfire, this could be a bad spark plus, a disconnected wire at the plug or coil, a bad coil, a bad fuel injector, disconnected wire at the fuel injector, the list goes on and on, you'll need to do some troubleshooting to rule out possibilities.

2001 Alero - What is the problem when your check vehicle light trac light and anti-lock light comes on at the same time. Dealer states a sensor but can't fine how to fix it. What do you suggest?

This sounds like your wheel hubs need replaced. These are where the sensors for ABS and Traction control are located. I'm very surprised a dealer would not be able to find this. It is possible another sensor is bad, but this is the same problem I had with my 2001 Alero. If you have service engine light on, trac. off light and the ABS light on the same time, you may be able to get it fixed my reprogramming the power control module (with updated software calibration). Mine was fixed for free at a dealer under a recall campaign when GM called me yesterday.
