If you look in the engine compartment , at the firewall , towards the passenger
side of the engine compartment , you will see where the wiring harness is
bolted to one end of the PCM ( the rest of the PCM is " hidden " behind the
glove compartment )
Powertrain Control Module
The overdrive off light will flash in your gauge cluster when a malfunction has been detected by the powertrain control module

It should be integrated into the Powertrain control module
BCM, body control module. It controls lights, wipers, alarm, etc. PCM, powertrain control module. It is the engine computer.
The powertrain control module has detected a malfunction Take it in and have it scanned for trouble codes in order to have the problem repaired (Helpfull)

The computers are called PCME (powertrain control module engine) and the PCMT (powertrain control module transmission)both are under dash behind glove box ... hope this helps Jess

In a 1995 Ford Explorer : You can see one end of the ( Powertrain Control Module / PCM ) from the engine compartment . You will see where the wiring harness is bolted to the PCM as it passes through the firewall , near the passenger side of the engine compartment . Most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment
