In the glove box of my topaz "1993", there is a list of the fuses. Also the fuses are under the steering wheel. YOu have to get down on the ground with the door open and poke your head in sideways and look up at them. I hope I helped.

There are 2 holes on both sides of you radio that are an inch apart, they take a special tool shaped like a horseshoe. you first insert the tools in till you feel and hear a "click" then you want to aply outward pressure to the ends of the tools at the same time pull out the radio, it myght take some effort.
The fuse block should be located to the left of the steering column, under the dash. Depending on which Mercury GS you have (sable, topaz, etc.) it should be a relay located in the fuse block.
