under hood..drivers side inner fender (apron)..will look like two connectors plug into the fender....it's the two wire plug....pull it and cross it out with a jumper wire to set timing...(about 5 degrees should do it)...don't forget to unplug the jumper...t

go to a reputable auto parts or trailer supply store and purchase a trailer wiring loom that is specific for your vehicle. it is a unplug existing, plug in new ("t") loom affair. included in this loom is a "converter" for Toyota specific light systems. standard trailer system (2 bulb) Toyota (3 bulb). probably 30 to 40 unless you purchase at dealer. my Toyota was an '89 but I'm confident that this is the route to take.
