Take the front tire off. Then remove the break caliper (2 bolts size 18mm) Then pull off the brake rotor. It is screwed into the top part of the hub so its easy to see once you have the rotor removed because its the only wire running to the hub. Be very careful removing or intalling the sensor because it is very fragile. I messed one up once and it really costed me. hope that helps ctc1278@Yahoo.com
On 2 wheel drives the rear speed sensor is on the transmission tail shaft housing. For 4x4 trucks it is on the transfer case. I am talking about the ABS sensor for the rear wheels.
It is an error code relating to the ABS system. I believe it is a right front speed sensor issue.
abs module.. Chevrolet had alot of problems with these modules in the early 2000 thru 2003 models.. i thought the had fixed the issue.. apparently not
No it is not adjustable.
You may have an ABS sensor going out at one of the wheels.
NO it must have it.
It is probley a wheel senor that is bad, Need to scan ABS system to locate problem,
No, an abs sensor will only affect antilock braking.
usually a bad wheel sensor, get it checked out.
FIRST YOU MUST HAVE A obd2 engine scanner and then scan the ABS brake system to be able to determine what is wrong with it. Then repair as needed
Plug in the computer into the truck, but if both lights are on it is most likely the your EBCM (Electronic Break Module) needs to be replaced; however if it is only the ABS Light that is on, that means that it could be your wheel sensor. the wheel sensor could be dirty, corroded or even need replacement.
this could be you're ABS sensor
