I believe that the rear air shocks are part of an automatic level control system. There is a level sensor on the rear suspension system and a compressor that fills the shocks to raise the rear end. There is also a valve to release the pressure to lower the rear end.
Yes it should have front struts and rear shocks.
How do you replace rear shocks on a 2003 altima?
The rear shocks on a Pontiac G6 are replaced by supporting the rear axle on jack stands, removing the wheels, and unbolting the shocks. New shocks can then be put in place and bolted on.
Jack rear up,remove wheel, get 2 spring clamps and tighten them up on the spring until there is enough room to pull it out of its cup, fitting is reversal
There is no air valve for the rear air suspension as it is controlled by an auto-leveling system unless of course you change to manual fill air shocks then it could be anywhere.
struts in front, shocks in rear.
