Remove the transmission pan underneath and it's inside of it.

Automatic transmission oil filters ware located inside the transmission, under the transmission oil pan. You have to remove the transmission oil pan to replace it and then you will need to refill it with new transmission fluid.

At the automatic transmission dipstick ( and filler tube ) using a funnel It is located near the firewall towards the passenger side of the engine

Most automatic transmissions do not have a filler plug or cap. The transmission fluid is added by using a long-neck funnel, which is placed in the tube the dipstick for the transmission sits in. Be sure to test the level while the engine is running, with the transmission in either park or neutral. Be very careful not to over fill the transmission, and make sure that you have the right kind of transmission fluid for your vehicle.

Unless the japs have come up with something new, there is no dip stick on a manual transmission...only an automatic. There is a filler bolt on the side of the trans. and a drain bolt on the bottom. remove the filler bolt and stick your finger inside to check the oil. if changing drain and fill until the oil is overflowing out of the filler bolt

User Avatar

The filler plug is on the rear section of the transmission that the drive shafts bolt on to, it looks alot like the drain plug and is fairly obvious. The tranny itself fills from the dipstick tube.

Automatic. Between the rad and the engine, drivers side, look down a little.

This vehicle does not have one becasue it is a sealed type of transmission. In other words it uses a non-standard transmission fluid. Most likey it uses a heavier grade or gear fluid, usually reserved for the mechanic to replace only. There is a way to replace it from underneath the vehicle. Looking at the transmission from under ht vehicle, you will see a lower drain plug and above it a filler plug. Careful to drain and refill with proper fluid and amounts or you can cause serious damage to transmission.
