A 1998 Cadillac Deville does not have a blower relay. The system has a fuse and a controller to feed power to the blower motor.
The 1998 Rav 4 blower motor relay switch is located in the engine compartment on the firewall. The blower motor relay switch will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The 1998 Dodge Neon does not have a relay. It does have a blower motor resistor that could be bad.
check for voltage at the blower motor on all settings. if no voltage check the blower motor resistor or relay. if it has a resistor it will be right beside the blower motor, if it has a relay it will be the relay on the firewall under the hood.it will probably have a purple, orange, blue, and black wires.
Driver side under dash fuse box black relay
The relay is in the lower row of relays in the fuse box. It is in the third relay hole, the first hole is probably unused.
In a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment ( # 29 is a 40 amp maxi fuse for the Blower Motor Relay )
I would check the fuse first. I take it that the blower motor doesn't work in any speed setting. Switch could be bad. I am not sure if blower has a relay. Owners manual should show all fuse and relay locations.
Passenger side, under the dash/behind the glove compartment.
replace the blower motor switch
Fuse-switch-bad connection-blower relay-fan motor. I would check the fuse then look at the blower relay. they go out quite offen on Dodges
Blown fuse? Bad switch Bad fan motor? Bad fan relay?
According to the owner's manual in the fuse panel in : Location # 2 is a 7.5 amp fuse for the blower motor relay , air bag diagnostic monitor location # 6 is a 7.5 amp fuse for the rear blower motor (without EATC) location # 35 is a 7.5 amp fuse for the rear blower motor (with EATC) And in your power distribution box in your engine compartment ( Ford recommends disconnecting your battery because PD BOX is live ) IN LOCATION # 2 IS A 40 AMP MAXI-FUSE FOR THE BLOWER MOTOR RELAY in location # 9 is the blower motor relay - Helpfull
The blower motor resistor is generally located close to the blower motor.
Check connections at the blower motor, blower motor resistor and at the switch. You may find a melted connection.
Blown fuse? Bad blower motor? see if you are getting power to it Bad blower motor resistor? Bad switch?
the resistor is gonna be right off the blower motor attached to the blower motor by a wire harness should be by the heater core
From the www.2carpros.com website: http://www.2carpros.com/forum/1998-ford-ranger-blower-motor-vt87146.html "(The blower fan resister is) located in the engine compartment inboard of the blower motor and slightly below it."
under the dash on passenger side behind glove box on the right side
The high-speed relay is part of the blower resistor board, mounted in the air duct behind the coolant/washer bottles. Follow the wires from the blower motor, they lead to the resistor connector block that the blower resistor board is plugged into.
The fusebox which controls the blower motor is under the hood up by the firewall.
Bad fan motor? Check to see if you are getting power to it Bad Switch? Bad fan relay?
AnswerTHE BLOWER RELAY IS BEHIND YOUR GLOVE BOX. REMOVE THE BOX AND IT WILL BE TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY. LOOKS LIKE A CONNECTOR. HOWEVER, YOUR RELAY MAY NOT BE BAD EVEN THOUGH IT CLICKS. 9 OUT OF 10 ITS YOUR BLOWER MOTOR... If you are talking about the blower relay for the fan motor because fan motor does not work, and you find out this is not the problem, I have a 1999 silverado where the fan motor stop working. Replaced the dash switch, did not fix the problem. Figured fan motor was bad. While attemping to remove the fan motor under the dash, there was a plastic cover attached to the motor which I removed and found a small circuit board that was showing a burnt spot. Replaced this circuit board first before going futher. This fixed my problem. Cost for the board from the dealer at the time (2005) was $30. Had I known about this board, could have save myself $165 replacing the dashboard switch.
