What two COUNTRIES border North and South America.

Technically, Mexico is in Central America, so the answer to the question is: Mexico borders North America, and Panama borders South America. Some consider Mexico to be a part of North America, which is technically incorrect, but in that case, then there are three countries that border North and South America: Panama borders South America, and Belize and Guatemala border North America (Mexico).
